Hotel Café Restaurant de La Dent-du-Midi is delighted to offer you a warm family welcome throughout the year in the heart of the town of St-Maurice.

History

Built in the nineteenth century, the Hotel de la Dent-du-Midi has since then had a succession of family owners (Massera, Richard, Magnin) until the Torrenté family finally took over in 2003. The building has been developed over the years into what you see today: a café, terrace, hotelmeeting room and restaurant.

Location

In the heart of St-Maurice, close to the public services and shops, Hotel de la Dent-du-Midi forms an integral part of the historic atmosphere of a town that combines culture and energy with an ideal location. On the Simplon railway line, it is only 45 minutes by train from Lausanne and 30 minutes from Sion. It is close to the resorts of Portes du Soleil (30 minutes) and Verbier (45 minutes).

Within easy reach of days out such as Lavey-les-Bains (2 minutes), Aquaparc (25 minutes) and The Labyrinth adventure (10 minutes), the town is also a stage on the Via Francigena pilgrimage route between Canterbury and Rome and an attractive stage on the River Rhône cycle route. You can also use it as a starting point for hiking routes such as the Tour des Dents-du-Midi and the Tour des Muverans.
